1. Is there a way to raise the top
if my battery goes dead? How?
Yes, several ways: use jumper cables from your vehicle hooked
directly to the battery or you can plug your trailer into
110 volt electric or you can plug into the tow vehicle to
recharge the battery. A manual hand pump which will raise
or lower the unit is also offered as an option on all Hi-Lo
models.

2. Is the unit sealed when
traveling in the down position? How?
Yes, it is sealed when it is fully raised and when it is fully
lowered. The seal is not intact when the unit is partially
raised.

3. Can I drive with my Hi-Lo
in the raised position? Why?
No, driving with the unit raised or even partially raised
can result in stretching the cables. It also defeats the benefit
of having a unit that telescopes.

4. How big are the holding
tanks on the Hi-Lo's?
The combined capacity on all but the 17' TowLite equals 47
gallons (26 gallons black and 21 gallons gray). The 17' black
water tank is 21 gallons, making it 42 combined. All Hi-models
have a 30 gallon fresh water tank.

5. Can I walk on the roof
of my Hi-Lo?
Yes, Hi-Lo roofs have been laminated since the late 1970's,
making them strong enough to support the weight of two adults
without sustaining damage.

6. How much does a 22' Hi-Lo
weigh?
The 22' Hi-Lo weighs 3,314 pounds plus options. It is essential
to be familiar with the weight of all of the Hi-Lo models
as well as the vehicle towing capabilities of all makes. Another
important factor is to point out that the Hi-Lo weighs about
the same as trailers of similar construction type (laminated
fiberglass). Lighter is not necessarily better.

7. What advantage is there
to buying a Hi-Lo over an upright trailer?
Primarily, safety. A lower center of gravity provides a straighter
track and consequently a safer vehicle. Secondarily, are the
issues of fuel economy, storage, and resale value.

8. Does the trailer have
to be perfectly level to raise and lower it?
No, raising the unit at height differences of 2" side
to side, or 6" end to end will not effect the unit.

9. What maintenance is required
on the lift system?
Though not required to maintain your warranty, lubricating
the pulleys and glide rails annually will keep you unit operating
more smoothly. The most important maintenance item is to lubricate
the guide rod which runs parallel to the hydraulic cylinder.

10. What warranty does
Hi-Lo give on the hydraulic lifting system?
The lift system is covered by a lifetime warranty to the original
purchaser. Parts are covered for the life of the original
owner and labor is covered for 6 years.

11. Can I purchase a Hi-Lo
from the factory?
No. We rely on our dealer network to provide sales, service,
training and help to our customers. Selling directly would
inhibit our customer care.

12. Can I get pricing
from the factory?
No. Your dealer has the MSRP for each model. They will also
be able to quote freight, prep, and local taxes (if applicable).
